Amrita came to Tutero scoring 56% on fractions and decimals. She was matched with Rishika, who worked with her every week on exactly what her class was covering. Her next topic test on the same material came back at 100%, and she has since said she wants to take maths further.

How much does a Year 3 tutor cost?
From A$65 an hour, the same rate as for older students. You pay after each lesson and can cancel any time.
What maths should a Year 3 be able to do?
Use place value into the thousands, add and subtract two and three-digit numbers, recall the 2, 3, 5 and 10 times tables, recognise simple fractions, and tell the time.
Is Year 3 too young for a tutor?
No. Year 3 is a common time to start because NAPLAN gives a first outside view of reading and maths, and small gaps are easier to fix now than in high school.
What should my child practise for Year 3 NAPLAN?
Reading short texts and answering questions, writing a narrative or persuasive piece by hand, spelling and punctuation, and number skills. Tutors practise each in short, low-pressure activities.
Is there a Year 3 tutor near me?
Lessons are live and online, so your child learns at home with a tutor matched on patience and fit, not distance. Tutors keep lessons active, with plenty of drawing and talking on the whiteboard.
How do we get started with Year 3 tutoring?
Fill in the short form and tell us what your child finds hard. An account manager calls within 24 hours, matches a patient tutor, and books a weekly time after school or on weekends.
