Private Year 8 tutoring that closes the gaps early

Year 8 maths under Version 9 of the Australian Curriculum runs from irrational numbers and the exponent laws (index laws) through terminating and recurring decimals, expanding and factorising linear expressions, solving and graphing linear equations, rates and ratios, circles and right prisms, Pythagoras' theorem, congruence and similarity, sampling, and probability with two-way tables and tree diagrams. Year 8 carries no national test and no certificate, so a weak spot can go unmarked for a long stretch. The algebra, the reasoning and the writing built in Year 8 are still being used when a student reaches a senior certificate, whether that is the VCE, HSC, QCE, SACE, WACE or TCE.
