I cannot thank the tutors enough.

I cannot thank the tutors enough.

We had tutors for Chemistry and Maths Methods for our daughter in Grade 12. Both Luke and Francisco were fantastic and provided supportive assistance as well as increasing her confidence. I cannot thank them both enough.

I strongly recommend Tutero!

I strongly recommend Tutero!

Not only was the process made really simple and engaging, but Tutero also provided me a personalised page where I can track my sessions, organise tutors in different subjects if need be and a record of the work I needed to follow up on. If you need a tutor, but don't want all the logistical stress involved with tracking one down, I strongly recommend Tutero!

They answered my enquiry on a weekend within half an hour which I did not expect. The others I contacted, replied the following week. My nephew is learning with Andy. The price is much more affordable my nephew has improved so much considering he has slight autism. Tutero, Joey and his team have proven very caring and considerate. Thank you Tutero.

Grades went from 61% ave to 85%.

Grades went from 61% ave to 85%.

My grades were poor in VCE Chemistry. I signed up with Tutero and I observed a 39% rise in my grades after our sessions. My grade for the prior 2 SACs had been 80% and I was probably going to drop the ball for Probability. I applied for another tutor who enabled me to keep my avg of 80% in the Probability SAC within 2 weeks prior.

Excellent tutoring

Excellent tutoring

I have tried 3 tutoring providers before I came to Tutero. My son has been learning Maths and also Science with Tutero for 3 months, and I have been very impressed by the quality of tutors and the learning resources they provide to their students. I have been telling other parents at his school about the service and they too have joined and had a similar experience.

Tutero has been excellent for my 11 year old. In lockdown we saw him having difficulties with Maths and also English and so I contacted Tutero and booked him into 1-on-1 private tutoring. We saw fantastic results after a few lessons and he was able to apply his learnings in the classroom. We are continuing tutoring and very happy with the service.

Fantastic tutors for Grade 12

Fantastic tutors for Grade 12

My daughter is in Grade 12, and we have arranged tutors for Maths Methods and Chemistry. Both Francisco and Luke have been excellent. They have not only taken her through the class work she has been completing to explain the concepts she was struggling with to help her gain confidence but have also assisted in providing extra resources where required.

What does tutoring in Point Cook look like from Foundation to Year 12?

Point Cook is one of Melbourne's newer suburbs and its school map shows it: several P-9 and K-9 colleges feeding two government senior secondary campuses, alongside a Catholic college that runs Years 7 to 12 on the one site, with most local students still in primary or the early years of secondary. Tutoring here starts with the foundations, reading fluency, writing that holds a shape, and number facts that arrive without counting on fingers, because a gap at that stage is cheap to close and expensive to leave. Year 7 is the next step up, when one classroom becomes five or six subjects and organisation counts as much as ability. Around Year 10 most government-school students move again, to Point Cook Senior Secondary College or Homestead Senior Secondary College, then choose VCE studies for Years 11 and 12. One matched tutor can follow a student through all of it, online, so no one drives out to Werribee or Altona Meadows for an hour of maths. Get a custom quote using the form above.

How is Tutero priced for a Point Cook family?
plusminus

Lessons start from A$65 per hour. There is no sign-up fee, no contract, and no block of lessons to buy up front. Invoicing follows the lesson that was actually taught, so a quiet week costs nothing. Your account manager confirms the hourly rate before a tutor is booked, so the figure is known before anything is agreed. A weekly lesson is the usual pattern in Point Cook, with an extra one added before a major assessment, and you can stop whenever you choose.

Which subjects and year levels do you cover in Point Cook?
plusminus

Foundation through to Year 12, and the whole subject list rather than a narrow one. In the primary years that usually means reading, writing and number work. Across Years 7 to 10 it widens into maths, English, science, humanities and languages. In Years 11 and 12 a tutor is matched to the exact VCE study a student is enrolled in, English or Mathematical Methods, Biology or Chemistry among them. Our maths tutoring page and English tutoring page set out how each subject is handled.

Are lessons online, or does a tutor travel to Point Cook?
plusminus

Online, every lesson. Tutor and student meet over video on a shared whiteboard, which means the pool a Point Cook student picks from is not restricted to whoever happens to live between Sanctuary Lakes and Williams Landing. The tutor is chosen for the course in front of the student and the Victorian Curriculum behind it, not for a postcode. It also removes the drive: no run along Point Cook Road at peak hour, no waiting in a car park at Hoppers Crossing. Lessons happen at the kitchen table, at a time that suits. Other areas we cover sit on our Melbourne tutoring page.

Do you tutor students at the P-9 colleges and senior campuses in Point Cook?
plusminus

Yes, at government and Catholic schools alike. Students from schools such as Point Cook P-9 College, Carranballac P-9 College, Alamanda K-9 College, which runs the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, and Stella Maris Catholic Primary School work with our tutors. So do students at the two government senior campuses, Point Cook Senior Secondary College and Homestead Senior Secondary College, which each run Years 10 to 12 and lead into the VCE, and at Emmanuel College's Notre Dame Campus, a Catholic college that carries a student from Year 7 through to the VCE on the one site. The P-9 and K-9 colleges stop at Year 9, so tutoring there sits in the Victorian Curriculum. None of these schools is a Tutero partner.

Who decides which tutor a Point Cook student gets?
plusminus

We do, and then you approve it. The call that follows the quote form collects the year level, the school, the subject in trouble and what the last report said. A tutor is then selected who already teaches that course at that level: early reading is a different skill from Year 9 algebra, which is different again from a senior VCE study. The proposed match is put to you before any lesson is booked, and if it does not suit after a lesson or two, say so and another tutor is found.

How does a Point Cook family get the first lesson in the diary?
plusminus

Fill in the quote form on this page with the year level, the subjects and what you want to shift. An account manager calls within 24 hours to talk it through and confirm the hourly rate, from A$65, with no contract behind it. A tutor is matched to the course and put to you for approval, then a weekly time is set around sport and everything else in the week. Lessons run online from the first session, and the invoice arrives after each one. Senior students are welcome to send the form themselves.
