What does private tutoring cost in Dallas?

Schools in Dallas teach to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Every Tutero lesson follows these standards and your child's own school or homeschool work, so practice for the state tests below is built into the regular week.
Dallas has 337 public schools and 89 private schools, and many families in the city are in Dallas Independent School District. The city itself reaches past Dallas County into Collin, Denton, Kaufman and Rockwall counties. Wherever your child goes to public school in Texas, the STAAR is the state test in core subjects such as reading and math.
Colleges inside Dallas city limits include UT Southwestern, Paul Quinn College, the University of North Texas at Dallas and Dallas Baptist University, and every home in Dallas County is in the Dallas College service area. College-level courses in high school and SAT scores both depend on solid math and English. Your tutor plans from the assignments your child brings home and the Texas standards, then weaves in STAAR practice before the test. Dallas neighborhoods spread wide: Uptown and Oak Lawn near downtown, Lakewood and Lake Highlands in the east, and Oak Cliff and the Bishop Arts District to the southwest. The Dallas area had 14,342 funded TEFA students in Region 10 as of July 2026, the second most of any region in Texas, according to the Texas Comptroller. By home school district, 2,645 lived in Dallas ISD, 1,140 in Plano ISD and 1,021 in Garland ISD (also as of July 2026).
