Step Up Tutoring for Miami-Dade Families
Miami-Dade is the fourth-largest school district in the country, and the academic load on families is real — IB programs at Coral Reef Senior High, magnet seats at Design and Architecture Senior High, bilingual classrooms across Hialeah and Doral, and the steady pressure of FAST assessments at every grade. Tutero is built for that reality. We are an approved Step Up for Students provider, and we work with families across Miami-Dade who hold a PEP scholarship (homeschool) or a FES-UA scholarship (Unique Abilities, for students with an IEP or a qualifying diagnosis). We also accept FES-EO. Every lesson is 1-on-1 with a certified teacher, every plan is tied to the Florida B.E.S.T. Standards, and every family is guided by a dedicated account manager who has spent her career in special education or school leadership.

A Real Teacher, Not a Freelance Tutor
In a Miami-Dade classroom of 25 to 30 students, even the best teacher cannot reach every child at the right level. A Tutero teacher can. Each one holds a teaching certification and has real classroom experience — they are not college students moonlighting, and they are not freelancers. They teach your child by name. For families navigating an IEP, that experience matters even more: our teachers know how to pace a lesson for a child with dyslexia, ADHD, or autism without making the child feel different. The result is what Miami parents tell us week after week — the moment their child finally says, "I get it."

Very impressed with everything. Took the time initially to understand my daughter’s neeads and my motivations for tutoring. Tutoring has been excellent and very affordable. Highly recommend.

I've used Tutero for 4 months so far for my Year 9 son. It's seriously been nothing short of a miracle! My son does his tutoring without complaint and his grades have improved significantly.

Every K-12 Subject, Taught the Way Your Child Learns
Tutero teachers cover the full K-12 stack — early reading and elementary math, middle school writing and pre-algebra, biology and chemistry and physics, US history and economics, plus SAT, ACT, AP, and FAST preparation. Lessons are mapped to the Florida B.E.S.T. Standards so what your child learns with us reinforces what they are doing in their Miami-Dade classroom or homeschool curriculum, not a parallel track. For bilingual households across Hialeah, Doral and Kendall, we can pair your child with a Spanish-speaking teacher — Tutero also runs Spanish-language pages for parents who prefer to communicate in Spanish.

Tutoring for Students with an IEP or Unique Abilities
The FES-UA scholarship exists because students with diagnosed learning, developmental or physical needs deserve teaching built around how they actually learn. Tutero teachers know how to do that. We work with students on the autism spectrum, with ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and a wide range of qualifying diagnoses — across every grade from Kindergarten through Grade 12. Each Miami family is guided by an account manager who has spent her career in special education, so the people behind your lessons understand IEPs, accommodations, and the day-to-day weight of advocating for your child.

Yes. Tutero is an approved Step Up for Students provider in the EMA portal. We mainly work with families on PEP (Personalized Education Program — for students not enrolled full-time in public or private school) and FES-UA (Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities — for students with an IEP or qualifying diagnosis). We also accept FES-EO. Your scholarship covers the cost of lessons; there is no out-of-pocket cost for what your scholarship funds.
Yes. Every Tutero teacher works within the Florida B.E.S.T. Standards and understands what FAST assessment expects at each grade level. Many of our teachers are former Florida classroom teachers or have direct experience supporting Miami-Dade and other Florida district students, so lessons connect to what your child is already doing in school.
Yes. For bilingual households across Hialeah, Doral, Kendall and the wider Miami-Dade area, we pair students with Spanish-speaking teachers when requested. Tutero also publishes Spanish-language pages for parents who prefer to communicate about scholarships, lessons and progress in Spanish.
Subject, grade level, scholarship type, IEP details, learning style and academic goals all feed into how Tutero matches Miami students with teachers. Each family is guided by a dedicated account manager — a former school principal or special-ed leader — who knows what to look for. The same teacher stays with your child week after week, so progress compounds and the relationship deepens.
Every grade from Kindergarten through Grade 12. In elementary, the focus is strong reading, writing and early math within the Florida B.E.S.T. Standards. Middle school covers the broader subject load and the jump in academic expectations. High school adds FAST preparation, SAT, ACT and AP work, and the subject mastery that matters for college admissions and Bright Futures eligibility.
