What is in the report after each lesson?
Each report explains what your child worked on, how it went and what the teacher plans next. It is written by the teacher in plain language, not a score sheet. You read it in the parent app, so you can talk to your child about the lesson the same evening.
How is my child's plan built?
It starts with a skills check before the first lesson. The teacher uses those results plus your child's schoolwork from Pinellas County Schools, or your homeschool curriculum, to decide what to teach first. The plan then moves with your child's class through the year. Students with IEPs have their goals and accommodations built into the plan as well.
Can St. Petersburg families use Step Up for Students?
Yes. If your child has a UA or PEP scholarship, lessons are covered and you pay nothing out of pocket. For FES-EO or FTC, which mostly go to private school tuition, our team can check what your account allows.
What subjects can a teacher cover in St. Petersburg?
Every K-12 subject. That includes reading, writing, math and science, plus test prep for the SAT, ACT and AP exams. The teacher plans each lesson from current classwork and keeps Florida's state tests (FAST) and end-of-year course exams in view. Your child can start with one subject and add another later if needed.
Who checks that lessons are working?
Your education specialist does, together with you. They review your child's reports and progress every term, talk with you about what has changed, and adjust the plan if needed. If the teacher is not the right fit, they arrange a new one. You never have to manage it alone.

Pinellas County Schools runs the public schools in St. Petersburg. High schools in the city include Gibbs, Lakewood, Northeast, St. Petersburg High and St. Petersburg Collegiate High School. Private options include Canterbury School of Florida, Shorecrest Preparatory School and Admiral Farragut Academy.
Public school students take FAST, Florida's reading and math tests, and then end-of-year exams in high school courses.
