Emma was diagnosed with dyslexia and dyscalculia when she was young, and more recently with ADHD. Her mom, Jill, chose Tutero because she read that we were equipped to support children with ADHD. Emma works with the same teacher, Lori, every week. Over time they have built a real bond: with Lori, Emma is focused, gets the encouragement she needs, and never asks to skip a lesson. Lori is part of Emma’s week, not a quick fix, and Jill sees the results.
“She really likes Lori, they’ve formed a bond.”
Jill, Emma’s mom
“She never says she doesn’t want tutoring, she always wants to.”

If it is UA or PEP, yes. Families on UA or PEP pay $0 out of pocket, with nothing to pay upfront. Not sure which scholarship your child has? It is shown at the top of their EMA account.
Their teacher gets to know them. One hour, 1-on-1, working on what your child is learning right now. The teacher sees what is solid and where the gaps are, with any IEP goals in mind. Afterwards you get a written report and a plan in the parent app.
No. You tell us once. Share the IEP on your first call and its goals and accommodations go into the plan before lesson one. Your child keeps the same teacher every week, so nobody has to start over.
Straight answers from 310,000+ lessons.

Usually a gap, not ability. Most subjects build on themselves: a gap in fractions in 5th grade becomes an algebra problem in 8th grade. Most students who say they hate a subject are missing two or three specific ideas. The first lesson finds them.
A diagnosis, then a plan. One hour, 1-on-1, working through what your child is learning right now. The tutor watches how they approach a problem and maps what is solid and what is not. Afterwards a written report and a plan land in the parent app.
Confidence first, grades next. Most parents see confidence change first, then grades at the next test or report card. One lesson a week through the semester, with a check-in from your account manager.

Can I get a math tutor in Denver for middle school?
Yes. Middle school math is the most common reason Denver families contact us. The tutor finds the gap behind the struggle, often fractions, negative numbers or ratios, and repairs it before moving to your child's current unit. Lessons are live and 1-on-1 with a shared whiteboard. Denver students get a tutor who explains each step clearly and checks understanding before moving on.
Do you have Spanish tutors for Denver students?
Yes. Spanish tutoring helps Denver middle and high school students with speaking, listening, vocabulary and grammar from their own class. The tutor also helps them prepare for quizzes and oral assessments. Because lessons are 1-on-1, your child gets many more chances to speak than in class. Tutors can also help with French and other world languages.
Is reading help available for younger Denver kids?
Yes. Reading tutoring for kindergarten through 5th grade covers phonics, fluency and comprehension. The tutor checks where reading gets stuck, then uses short, focused practice with your child's class books and favorite stories. You can see what was practiced in each lesson report. Short, regular lessons tend to work best for early readers, and the tutor adjusts pace as confidence grows.
Will the tutor work from Denver Public Schools assignments?
Yes. The tutor plans from the homework, units and tests your child brings home from Denver Public Schools or wherever they study. Share test dates and the tutor will plan ahead for them. Homeschool families can share their own curriculum. That way every lesson is useful, not a detour from school. Private and charter school students are supported the same way.
How does tutoring prepare my child for CMAS?
Tutoring prepares students for CMAS by building the reading, writing and math skills it tests, week by week. There is no separate cram course. In the weeks before the spring tests, the tutor can add timed practice with the question formats your child will see on screen. Lessons stay focused on skills, not memorizing tricks.
How much does tutoring in Denver cost?
Denver families get a custom quote with one clear rate across every grade. You will not sign a contract, so pausing for summer or stopping when goals are met is easy. The rate includes tutor matching, lesson reports and your personal account manager. Your quote is clear from day one.
Here is a typical week for a Denver student with Tutero. On Monday, your sixth grader shows their tutor the math worksheet that went badly. The tutor spots that negative numbers are the real problem, fixes that first, and then finishes the worksheet with them. On Tuesday morning, you open the parent app and read a short summary of what happened. By Friday's quiz, the topic makes sense.
That rhythm, one tutor, one lesson, one report, repeats each week. Lessons follow classwork from Denver Public Schools or any other school, and they build toward Colorado's CMAS tests each spring. Math is the most requested subject, then reading for younger children and Spanish class practice for older ones. Every tutor is chosen from the top 2% of applicants, and the first lesson starts with a skills check so nothing is guessed. Lessons are online, which means families across Denver get the same tutors and the same weekday, evening and weekend times. A personal account manager looks at progress with you every term.
Schools in Denver teach to the Colorado Academic Standards. Every Tutero lesson follows these standards and your child's own school or homeschool work, so practice for the state tests below is built into the regular week.
Denver Public Schools covers the whole city, since its boundaries match the city limits. It educates approximately 92,000 students in 92 elementary schools, 44 K-8 schools, 34 middle schools and 18 high schools, plus charters. Its roots go back to a log cabin school that opened in 1859 and later became East High School. Some homes with a Denver postal address sit outside the city and are served by Cherry Creek School District instead.
Colorado's CMAS tests check how Denver students are doing against state standards. Tutero lessons follow your child's real assignments and those standards, so CMAS skills get practiced week by week. Older students can look ahead too: the Auraria Campus holds CU Denver, MSU Denver and Community College of Denver, and the University of Denver dates to 1864. SAT prep and college-level math and writing fit into the same plan.
Denver has 78 official neighborhoods, plus well-known local names like LoDo, Uptown, RiNo and Curtis Park in Five Points, and Park Hill. Central Park, built on the site of the old Stapleton airport, is one of the newest. A Tutero lesson is live and online, so each of these neighborhoods gets the same choice of tutors, and so do families just outside the city in Cherry Creek schools. Weekday afternoons, evenings and weekends are open. Families in Colorado Springs use Tutero the same way, so Denver students draw on a wide pool of tutors instead of whoever happens to be closest.
