What an hour of ADHD tutoring looks like
A whole hour with no landmarks is where attention drifts. So lessons are planned in short pieces with a clear finish line, by the same teacher every week. The subject changes with your child's needs, math one week and an essay the next, but most lessons follow this shape.
Agreeing the plan for the hour
The teacher shows the three or four things you'll do today, so your child knows what's coming and when it ends.
Starting with something they can do
A short review task to get going without a fight. Starting is often the hardest part.
Learning in short blocks
New material comes in small steps with plenty of back and forth: your child explains, tries and gets feedback straight away. When focus slips, the teacher redirects calmly and changes the activity instead of pushing through.
Keeping hands and eyes on the work
The shared whiteboard lets your child draw, highlight and move things on screen, which beats listening for long stretches.
