Clara was in secondary school, struggling in several subjects and unable to make sense of physics at all. Her mum Jules had tried other tutors, then read the Tutero reviews and gave it a go. Clara kept the same tutor through to her final year and came to love physics. Because she trains as a triathlete, lessons moved when races and training got in the way. She finished school with top results and now studies law at university, and her brother Kristen has since started with a tutor of his own.

center 32%The equations arrive with the ideas. Lower secondary science describes forces and energy in words. Upper secondary and JC physics ask for the same ideas as equations, vectors and graphs, often inside one question. A student who followed the idea in class can still stall when they have to rearrange a formula or read a velocity-time graph. The tutor works out which half is missing.
The unit they are on right now. The tutor opens your child's current topic on the whiteboard, such as Newton's laws or circuits, and works through a few exam-style questions with them. That shows whether the gap is the concept, the working or the setting out. A written report and a plan for the term arrive in the parent app that evening.
Confidence first, then the next task. Marks follow at the next school task, such as a topic test, practical or common test, because lessons prepare for that task directly. Students often add sessions in the weeks before prelims and final exams.
Top 2% of applicants. Matched to the student, not assigned.

Schools in Singapore offer different physics pathways. Tutors are matched to the one your child takes.
SEC or O-Level Physics at G3 or G2, or Science (Physics, Chemistry). Practicals, structured questions and the national exam.
SEC physics tuition ›H1, H2 and H3 Physics, from fields and oscillations to quantum and nuclear physics. Practical work and the A-Level papers.
A-Level physics tuition ›Six years with no O-Levels: physics taught as a through-train, ending in A-Level or the IB Diploma.
IP physics tuition ›IB Physics SL and HL, from mechanics and waves to fields and nuclear physics. Paper practice and the exams.
IB physics tuition ›Cambridge and Edexcel IGCSE Physics: motion, energy, waves, electricity, magnetism and atomic physics.
IGCSE physics tuition ›Lower secondary science: forces, energy, light and electricity, the base for Physics from Sec 3 and beyond.
Lower secondary physics tuition ›Upper secondary physics in Sec 3 and 4, then the student's own A-Level or IB course.

Private 1-to-1 physics tuition with Tutero starts from S$65 an hour, and the rate is the same in Sec 3 as it is in JC2. There is no sign-up fee and no contract. You pay after each lesson, so you can add sessions before an exam or pause over the holidays.
The hourly rate also covers matching with a physics tutor, a dedicated account manager and a written report after every lesson in the parent app.
In lower secondary, physics sits inside science. From Sec 3, students take Physics at G3 or G2 level, or Science (Physics, Chemistry), working towards the SEC or O-Level exam: kinematics, forces, energy, waves, light, electricity and magnetism.
From JC1, the tutor follows your child's course: H1, H2 or H3 Physics at A-Level, or IB Physics SL and HL. Students at international schools can also get help with IGCSE Physics. That includes fields, oscillations, electromagnetic induction, quantum and nuclear physics, and the practical work each course assesses.
Each lesson is one student and one tutor, live, on an interactive whiteboard where both can draw force diagrams, sketch circuits and work through calculations step by step. The student keeps the same tutor each week, so the tutor knows which units are coming and where the last test went wrong.
Most families notice confidence first. Marks tend to follow at the next school assessment, because lessons are planned around the student's own course and tasks.
After a short quiz, an account manager calls to ask about your child's level, school, physics course, upcoming assessments and how they like to learn. They then choose a carefully selected physics tutor for course knowledge and personality fit.
The first lesson is a diagnostic on the unit your child is studying now. If the match does not feel right after a lesson or two, the account manager finds another tutor, and the new tutor picks up from the lesson reports.
Yes. Tutors work through past exam questions, practise setting out structured and extended answers, and help students plan revision around their course's exam. They also help with school work before it is due, including weighted assessments, common tests, practicals and the IB internal assessment.
Tutero's physics tutors are Singapore-based university students and graduates who did well in their own exams, alongside qualified teachers. Each is ID-verified and has signed a declaration, and every tutor is trained and coached before their first lesson with a family.
The Our Tutors page introduces the wider team, with each tutor's subjects, university and background, so you can see who your child might be matched with.
Yes, anywhere in Singapore with an internet connection. Every student can work with the same physics tutors, with lessons on weekdays, evenings and weekends.
There are also dedicated pages for A-Level, SEC and O-Level, IP, IGCSE and IB tuition.
Send a request with your child's level and physics course, and an account manager will call to find the right tutor. You pay after each lesson, there are no contracts, and you can stop any time.
Tutero offers 1-to-1 online physics tuition from Sec 3 to JC2, matched to your child's own course: SEC or O-Level, A-Level H1, H2 or H3, IB or IGCSE Physics. Tutors are carefully selected and work from your child's own school work. Lessons cost from S$65 an hour, with no contracts. Pay after each lesson, cancel any time.
