Amrita came to Tutero scoring 56% on fractions and decimals. Her mum Madhu did not want maths to become a pressure, so she looked for a tutor and had a call back within a couple of hours. Amrita was matched with Rishika, who worked with her every week on exactly what her class was covering. Her next topic test on the same material came back at 100%, and she has since told her mum she wants to take maths further.
“She was struggling, and I was trying to find a tutor. I am so grateful that I did.”
Madhu, Amrita’s mum
“Amrita loves her tutor Rishika and reaches for maths far more now.”

center 32%Usually a gap, not ability. Maths is cumulative: a gap in fractions in P5 becomes an algebra problem in Sec 2 and an H2 Maths problem in JC1. Most students who say they hate maths are missing two or three specific ideas. The first lesson finds them.
A diagnosis, then a plan. One hour on the live whiteboard, working through the current school topic. The tutor watches how the student approaches a problem and maps what is solid and what is not. That evening a written report and a term plan land in the parent app.
Confidence first, marks next term. Marks follow at the next assessment, because schools measure a term at a time. One lesson a week through the term, then a review with the account manager.

Tutero's private 1-to-1 maths tuition is from S$65 an hour at every level, from P1 to JC2. There are no contracts and no sign-up fee, and you pay after each lesson rather than up front.
That includes tutor matching, a dedicated account manager, a report after every lesson in the parent app and a learning plan.
Every lesson follows the MOE syllabus: PSLE Maths at Standard or Foundation level in primary, Mathematics at G1, G2 or G3 and Additional Mathematics (A Maths) in secondary for the SEC and O-Level, and H1, H2 and H3 Maths at A-Level, plus IGCSE and the IB Diploma's Analysis and Approaches and Applications and Interpretation courses.
In primary school that means number sense, times tables, fractions, ratio and percentage, and PSLE word problems. From Sec 1 to Sec 4 it is algebra, geometry, trigonometry and statistics, plus A Maths from Sec 3 and SEC and O-Level preparation.
Tutero's maths tuition is one student and one tutor in a live online lesson, with an interactive whiteboard, real-time problem solving and a written report after every lesson. Students keep the same tutor from week to week, so the tutor knows where the gaps are and what the next school assessment looks like.
Parents usually see the change in confidence first. Grades follow, because lessons are planned against the student's own syllabus and assessments rather than a generic workbook.
After a short quiz, an account manager calls to learn the student's level, syllabus, goals and how they like to learn. The tutor is carefully selected for subject expertise and personality fit.
The first lesson is a diagnostic: the tutor finds the gaps and sets goals for the term.
Tutors prepare students for school tests, PSLE Maths, SEC and O-Level Maths and A Maths, and A-Level H1 and H2 Maths, with practice questions, exam strategies and a revision plan.
Tutero's maths tutors are Singapore-based university students and graduates who did well in their own final exams, alongside qualified teachers. Every tutor completes hours of training and coaching before their first lesson.
Four of them are introduced on this page. The full team is on the Our Tutors page, with each tutor's specialism, university and results.
Anywhere in Singapore with an internet connection. A student in the west has the same choice of tutors as one in the east, with lessons on weekdays, evenings and weekends.
There are dedicated pages for PSLE, SEC and O-Level, A-Level, IP, IGCSE and IB tuition.
Submit a request and the team will match the student with a maths tutor for their level, syllabus and goals.
You pay after each lesson, there are no contracts, and you can stop any time.
