Emma was diagnosed with dyslexia and dyscalculia when she was young, and more recently with ADHD. Her mom, Jill, chose Tutero because she read that we were equipped to support children with ADHD. Emma works with the same teacher, Lori, every week. Over time they have built a real bond: with Lori, Emma is focused, gets the encouragement she needs, and never asks to skip a lesson. Lori is part of Emma’s week, not a quick fix, and Jill sees the results.
“She really likes Lori, they’ve formed a bond.”
Jill, Emma’s mom
“She never says she doesn’t want tutoring, she always wants to.”

If it is UA or PEP, yes. Families on UA or PEP pay $0 out of pocket, with nothing to pay upfront. Not sure which scholarship your child has? It is shown at the top of their EMA account.
Their teacher gets to know them. One hour, 1-on-1, working on what your child is learning right now. The teacher sees what is solid and where the gaps are, with any IEP goals in mind. Afterwards you get a written report and a plan in the parent app.
No. You tell us once. Share the IEP on your first call and its goals and accommodations go into the plan before lesson one. Your child keeps the same teacher every week, so nobody has to start over.
Straight answers from 310,000+ lessons.

Usually a gap, not ability. Most subjects build on themselves: a gap in fractions in 5th grade becomes an algebra problem in 8th grade. Most students who say they hate a subject are missing two or three specific ideas. The first lesson finds them.
A diagnosis, then a plan. One hour, 1-on-1, working through what your child is learning right now. The tutor watches how they approach a problem and maps what is solid and what is not. Afterwards a written report and a plan land in the parent app.
Confidence first, grades next. Most parents see confidence change first, then grades at the next test or report card. One lesson a week through the semester, with a check-in from your account manager.

Can I find a math tutor in Chandler for middle or high school?
Yes, we match Chandler students with math tutors for every level, from basic arithmetic to algebra, geometry and calculus. Your child's tutor works from the class they are actually in, so lessons line up with homework and upcoming tests rather than a generic workbook. Before lesson one, a short skills check shows where the real gaps are, so the first weeks aren't spent on material your child already knows.
Do lessons follow Chandler Unified School District classwork?
They do. Your tutor asks for recent homework, tests and the class syllabus, then plans lessons around what your child is studying right now. If a teacher moves faster or slower than expected, the plan shifts with it, and every change shows up in the lesson report. Families outside the district, including homeschoolers, get the same approach with their own materials.
How does online tutoring compare with a tutoring center?
Online tutoring gives your child one tutor's full attention for the whole lesson, with no drive and no waiting room. Centers often split time across several students. With us, the tutor is the same every week, and you can see what happened in each lesson in the parent app. Lessons also start and end on time, which matters on a packed weeknight.
Will tutoring help with the AASA state test?
Yes, because the plan covers the same reading, writing and math skills the AASA measures. We don't drill the test for weeks. Instead, your child builds the skills during the year, with some practice in the question styles as testing season gets closer. Parents can see which state test skills were practiced in each lesson report, so nothing is left to guesswork.
How much does tutoring in Chandler cost?
Chandler families get a custom quote with one clear rate for every grade. There is no contract, so you can pause over school breaks or stop whenever you like. The rate includes tutor matching, a report after every lesson and a personal account manager who checks progress each term. Siblings each get their own plan under that same rate.
What happens if my child doesn't click with their tutor?
Your account manager will find a better match. Tell your account manager what isn't working, whether it's pace, teaching style or personality, and we find a better match. Most families settle in with the first tutor, but switching is simple if you need it. The new tutor reads past lesson reports first, so your child doesn't repeat the same material or lose the progress already made.
Chandler is the fourth-most populous city in Arizona and a tech hub for companies like Intel and Boeing. A lot of parents here work long days, so a drive to a tutoring center after school is hard to fit in. Online lessons remove the commute. Your child logs on from home at a weekday, evening or weekend time you choose.
Math is the most common reason Chandler families reach out. Some students need to catch up on fractions or equations, others want to move ahead in a class that feels too slow. Before lesson one, a skills check shows exactly where your child stands. The tutor then builds a plan around Chandler Unified School District homework, tests and pacing, and keeps an eye on the skills measured by Arizona's state test, the AASA. After every lesson you get a written report in the parent app, so you always know what was covered.
Schools in Chandler teach to Arizona's Academic Standards. Every Tutero lesson follows these standards and your child's own school or homeschool work, so practice for the state tests below is built into the regular week.
Chandler Unified is the biggest name, yet it is only one of five public districts that reach into Chandler. Some families are zoned to Kyrene School District for the younger grades, others to Tempe Union High School District, Mesa Public Schools or Gilbert Public Schools. Many students also attend charter or Catholic campuses such as Basis Schools and Seton Catholic Preparatory.
Across all of them, Arizona measures progress with the AASA, a yearly state test of reading, writing and math. With the University of Arizona Chandler and Chandler-Gilbert Community College, which serves 13,000 students, in town, many Chandler teens also start thinking about dual enrollment and the SAT or ACT. Our lessons follow whichever school your child attends, line up with Arizona's standards and prepare for the AASA.
Chandler shares school districts with Tempe, Mesa and Gilbert, so plenty of families here have ties that cross city lines. Tutoring should not add another stop to that loop. Every Tutero lesson is live online, which means a student near Downtown Chandler and a student on the far side of town choose from the same pool of tutors. Weekday, evening and weekend times are all open, and siblings in Chandler can book back to back on the same night.
