Emma was diagnosed with dyslexia and dyscalculia when she was young, and more recently with ADHD. Her mom, Jill, chose Tutero because she read that we were equipped to support children with ADHD. Emma works with the same teacher, Lori, every week. Over time they have built a real bond: with Lori, Emma is focused, gets the encouragement she needs, and never asks to skip a lesson. Lori is part of Emma’s week, not a quick fix, and Jill sees the results.
“She really likes Lori, they’ve formed a bond.”
Jill, Emma’s mom
“She never says she doesn’t want tutoring, she always wants to.”

If it is UA or PEP, yes. Families on UA or PEP pay $0 out of pocket, with nothing to pay upfront. Not sure which scholarship your child has? It is shown at the top of their EMA account.
Their teacher gets to know them. One hour, 1-on-1, working on what your child is learning right now. The teacher sees what is solid and where the gaps are, with any IEP goals in mind. Afterwards you get a written report and a plan in the parent app.
No. You tell us once. Share the IEP on your first call and its goals and accommodations go into the plan before lesson one. Your child keeps the same teacher every week, so nobody has to start over.
Straight answers from 310,000+ lessons.

Usually a gap, not ability. Most subjects build on themselves: a gap in fractions in 5th grade becomes an algebra problem in 8th grade. Most students who say they hate a subject are missing two or three specific ideas. The first lesson finds them.
A diagnosis, then a plan. One hour, 1-on-1, working through what your child is learning right now. The tutor watches how they approach a problem and maps what is solid and what is not. Afterwards a written report and a plan land in the parent app.
Confidence first, grades next. Most parents see confidence change first, then grades at the next test or report card. One lesson a week through the semester, with a check-in from your account manager.

Can a Palm Coast homeschooler use PEP for lessons?
Yes. The Step Up for Students PEP scholarship covers Tutero lessons for homeschool students, with nothing to pay out of pocket. Palm Coast families pick the subjects, and the teacher plans around the curriculum you already use at home.
Can you teach just one subject in our homeschool?
Yes, one subject is enough to start. Some families choose high school math or science, others writing or a world language. The teacher covers that subject fully, with lessons, practice and progress notes, while you keep teaching the rest. You can add subjects later if it's working well.
Do you use our curriculum or your own?
Yours. The teacher reviews the program or books you've chosen and plans lessons to fit them. If you'd like suggestions, or you're between curriculums, the teacher can recommend a path based on the skills check. Either way, you stay in charge of what your child learns and when.
Is Palm Coast tutoring available for students in regular school?
Yes, Palm Coast students in Flagler County schools have lessons too. The teacher works from their homework and tests, and prepares them for FAST in reading and math and for end-of-year exams like Algebra 1. You get a written report after each lesson and a term check-in with your education specialist.
What does a lesson cost if we don't have Step Up for Students?
It's one clear rate for every grade, with no contracts and no sign-up fee. Our team shares it after learning about your child. With a Step Up for Students UA or PEP scholarship, you won't pay anything yourself, because the scholarship covers every lesson.
Can my child keep the same teacher all year?
Yes, that's how Tutero works. Your child meets the same certified teacher at the same weekly time, so they build a real working relationship.
Palm Coast has grown fast, from about 33,000 people in 2000 to nearly 90,000 in 2020, and it's now the largest city in its metro area, ahead of Deltona. For homeschool families in a fast-growing city, finding a qualified teacher for the harder subjects can be tricky. Early reading and math are often manageable at home. High school chemistry, Algebra 2 and essay writing can be another story.
A certified teacher can take one of those subjects off your plate, or teach alongside you across several. Lessons follow your curriculum, your pace and your calendar, and the written report after each lesson doubles as a simple homeschool record. Students in Flagler County schools get the same thing built from their classwork and Florida's state tests (FAST). A PEP scholarship covers lessons for homeschoolers, and UA covers students with unique abilities.
Schools in Palm Coast teach to the Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking (B.E.S.T.) Standards. Every Tutero lesson follows these standards and your child's own school or homeschool work, so practice for the state tests below is built into the regular week.
Palm Coast students in public school attend Flagler County schools. In the tested grades they take FAST, Florida's statewide reading and math tests. High school students also face end-of-year exams in certain courses.
Palm Coast has grown quickly, so many families here are still learning how Florida measures progress. A score report is easier to read when you know what the test checks. Your child's teacher looks at the work coming home from class, sets it next to Florida's standards, and finds the skills that need attention. Practice for FAST and course exams then becomes part of normal lessons. Palm Coast parents get a clear picture of what was covered each week, and homeschool students can work through the same standards in their own order.
Palm Coast families are spread across a big, growing city, and many new neighborhoods are a long way from each other. Live online lessons mean every household in Palm Coast gets the same choice of teachers, no matter the address. Nearby families in St. Augustine, Daytona Beach and DeLand have that same choice. Pick weekday, evening or weekend times so lessons fit around school, work and everything else in the week. Your child keeps the same teacher week after week, so there is no starting over each time.
