Emma was diagnosed with dyslexia and dyscalculia when she was young, and more recently with ADHD. Her mom, Jill, chose Tutero because she read that we were equipped to support children with ADHD. Emma works with the same teacher, Lori, every week. Over time they have built a real bond: with Lori, Emma is focused, gets the encouragement she needs, and never asks to skip a lesson. Lori is part of Emma’s week, not a quick fix, and Jill sees the results.
“She really likes Lori, they’ve formed a bond.”
Jill, Emma’s mom
“She never says she doesn’t want tutoring, she always wants to.”

If it is UA or PEP, yes. Families on UA or PEP pay $0 out of pocket, with nothing to pay upfront. Not sure which scholarship your child has? It is shown at the top of their EMA account.
Their teacher gets to know them. One hour, 1-on-1, working on what your child is learning right now. The teacher sees what is solid and where the gaps are, with any IEP goals in mind. Afterwards you get a written report and a plan in the parent app.
No. You tell us once. Share the IEP on your first call and its goals and accommodations go into the plan before lesson one. Your child keeps the same teacher every week, so nobody has to start over.
Straight answers from 310,000+ lessons.

Usually a gap, not ability. Most subjects build on themselves: a gap in fractions in 5th grade becomes an algebra problem in 8th grade. Most students who say they hate a subject are missing two or three specific ideas. The first lesson finds them.
A diagnosis, then a plan. One hour, 1-on-1, working through what your child is learning right now. The tutor watches how they approach a problem and maps what is solid and what is not. Afterwards a written report and a plan land in the parent app.
Confidence first, grades next. Most parents see confidence change first, then grades at the next test or report card. One lesson a week through the semester, with a check-in from your account manager.

Where can I find a math teacher in Winter Garden?
Online, through Tutero. Your child is matched with a certified math teacher who meets them live every week. The first step is a skills check, so the teacher can fill earlier gaps and keep pace with current classwork. Winter Garden families can book afternoons, evenings or weekends.
When is the right time to start SAT prep?
Starting a few months before the test date works for most students. That leaves time to find weak spots, practice them and sit full practice tests without cramming. A certified teacher plans the lessons backward from your teen's test day, so each week has a clear focus and nothing is left to the last minute.
Can Winter Garden families use a Step Up for Students scholarship?
Yes, if the scholarship is UA or PEP. Lessons are paid from the scholarship, so you pay nothing yourself. If your child has FES-EO or FTC funds, those mostly cover private school tuition, and our team can check what's possible.
How are lessons different from a learning center?
Lessons are 1-on-1 with the same certified teacher every week, rather than a small group or whoever is on shift. The plan comes from your child's own schoolwork. And because it's online, there's no drive, and you get a written report after every lesson instead of a quick chat at pickup.
Can you support a child with an IEP?
Yes. Your child's teacher reads the IEP before lesson one and brings its accommodations into every lesson. Pace, breaks and how new ideas are explained all adjust to your child. Students with unique abilities can use a Step Up for Students UA scholarship to pay for lessons.
What does tutoring cost if we're not on a scholarship?
You'll get one clear rate from our team, the same for every grade. There are no contracts, so you can pause or stop whenever you need to. Your education specialist can answer any questions before you commit to a first lesson.
Winter Garden is a city of about 47,000 people in western Orange County, 14 miles west of downtown Orlando. Families here mostly search for two kinds of help: a math teacher and SAT prep. They're different problems. Math help is usually about filling gaps and keeping up week to week. SAT prep is about a target score and a fixed test date, with a plan that works backward from it.
We handle both with a certified teacher working 1-on-1, live online. For math, a skills check shows what's missing, and lessons follow your child's Orange County Public Schools classwork. For the SAT, the teacher starts from a practice check and builds a plan toward test day. Homeschool families get lessons built from their own curriculum, and students with IEPs keep their accommodations. You'll get a written report after every lesson in the parent app.
Schools in Winter Garden teach to the Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking (B.E.S.T.) Standards. Every Tutero lesson follows these standards and your child's own school or homeschool work, so practice for the state tests below is built into the regular week.
Children in Winter Garden attend Orange County Public Schools, and like every public school student in the state, they sit FAST. These are Florida's statewide reading and math tests. Older students also take end-of-year exams in some of their courses, which adds a second kind of test to prepare for.
A Tutero teacher starts with what your child is studying right now and the Florida standards behind it. Lessons build the reading and math skills FAST checks, so test practice sits inside normal homework help instead of replacing it. For a Winter Garden teen with a course exam coming up, the teacher sets aside time for focused review in the weeks before. Families using a Step Up for Students UA or PEP scholarship can have it cover lessons.
Winter Garden sits in western Orange County, part of the wider Orlando area. Families here, and in nearby Clermont and Apopka, reach the same teachers because every lesson is live online. Your child logs in from home after school, in the evening or on a weekend. A student in Winter Garden has exactly the same options as one in Orlando or Kissimmee, and nobody spends the afternoon in the car. If a sports season or a work schedule changes, you can move the lesson time and keep the same teacher.
