Most of our Florida families come to us through the FES-UA scholarship because their child has dyslexia, ADHD, autism, or another diagnosed learning need. Every Tutero teacher is a qualified, certified educator, and many specialize in exactly this kind of 1-on-1 support: patient, structured lessons that rebuild confidence alongside grades. Behind every family is an education specialist who understands IEPs and accommodations, and who has spent years advocating for students just like yours. If your child has been let down by a classroom that could not adapt to them, this is what dedicated teaching looks like: one teacher, one student, and lessons built around how your child actually learns.
Your Step Up for Students scholarship covers every lesson
Tutero is an approved Step Up for Students provider. Families on FES-UA, PEP, FES-EO, and FTC scholarships can put their funds toward private 1-on-1 lessons with a qualified teacher, with $0 out-of-pocket. Billing runs through your EMA account, so there is nothing to pay upfront and nothing to claim back. Funds are released quarterly, and Q3 funds arrive on August 1. Families who book early get first pick of teachers and lesson times before the semester rush. If you are new to the scholarship, our education specialists will walk you through the EMA portal step by step, from approving Tutero as a provider to booking your first lesson.

How do I pay for Tutero through my EMA account?
Tutero is an approved provider in the EMA marketplace, so you pay directly with your scholarship funds. Choose Tutero as your provider, and we invoice Step Up for Students on the day lessons begin. You never pay out of pocket and there is nothing to claim back. Scholarship funds are released quarterly, and Q3 funds arrive August 1, usually available in parent accounts within the week. If you get stuck at any point, our education specialists will walk you through the portal over the phone.
Which Step Up scholarships cover Tutero?
Four Step Up for Students scholarships can be used for Tutero lessons: FES-UA (Unique Abilities) for students with a diagnosed learning, developmental, or physical need; PEP for homeschooling families; FES-EO (Education Options); and FTC. Most of our Florida families use FES-UA or PEP. If you are not sure which scholarship your family holds, or how much funding you have left this quarter, our team will check with you on a quick call.
